Frequently Asked Questions
When it comes to dentistry, people have a lot of questions, and at Sage Dental Care, we have the answers! Below, you’ll find answers to some of the most common questions we receive every day. If you happen to have a question that we haven’t covered here, be sure to give us a call and ask! We’re always ready to talk dentistry with you and make sure you completely understand your options.
How should I replace my missing teeth?
At Sage Dental Care, we’re proud to offer a variety of replacement solutions that can reverse any level of tooth loss. Whether with a bridge, dentures, or dental implants, we can help any patient get their complete smile back. Which treatment is best for you? We can help you decide after you come to see us for a consultation. Whichever one you choose, we’ll ensure that a strong, natural-looking smile is the result.
Do you treat children?
Yes! We love treating the littlest smiles here in Arvada. We recommend that your child should start coming in for regular dental appointments around age three or four. We’ll keep things light and fun so they will be comfortable in our office while we provide treatments specially designed for growing smiles.
Is it normal for my gums to bleed every time I brush?
If your gums bleed consistently every time you brush your teeth, you are either brushing/flossing too hard or have early-stage gum disease. Try brushing with a lighter touch for about a week, and if the bleeding continues, be sure to give us a call, as untreated gum disease can severely damage your smile over time.
Do my wisdom teeth need to be removed?
It really depends! For most people, they simply do not have enough room in their mouth to accommodate these teeth, which leads to multiple problems when they start to come in around the ages of 16-21. However, there are some patients where these teeth are able to fit and thrive. We’ll keep an eye on your wisdom teeth whenever you come to see us, so if we do need to remove them, we can do so before they cause you any issues.
Do I have to get metal braces to straighten my teeth?
Not anymore! If you’re ready to say goodbye to crooked, crowded, or gapped teeth, Invisalign can help you do it in the most discreet way possible. It uses a series of custom-made clear plastic aligner trays to gradually shift the teeth, and they are virtually invisible to the naked eye. They are even removable, so you can take them out whenever it’s time to eat or brush your teeth!
Do you see dental emergencies?
Yes! If you ever experience a knocked out tooth, severe toothache, damaged dental work, or if anything doesn’t feel right in your mouth, just give us a call, and we’ll work with our schedule to see you as soon as possible.
Do you accept dental insurance/Medicaid?
Yes, Sage Dental Care is ready and able to accept a long list of dental insurance plans, including Medicaid. We’ll even go a step further and handle the claim for you so we can ensure that you’re getting the most out of your benefits at every visit. For more information, you can view our new patients page.
